Alcom and LRM presented the Thondar MRT-3000 device and demonstrated measurements at the 25th Congress of the Croatian Ophthalmological and Optometric Society (HOOD) in Vodice, Croatia, from 14.5. to 17.5. at the Olympia Sky Hotel.

MyoControl Individual lenses for children with myopia who need individually designed defocus

Lenses with universal defocus are designed only on the basis of refraction. However, for some children, such defocus is not suitable and does not stop the progression of myopia.
The new scientific method MRT (Multispectral Refraction Topography) has found that relative peripheral refractive error (RPRE) causes the peripheral focus in some parts of the eye to be behind the retina. This can cause eye elongation and myopia progression.

Based on the measurements of MRT, MyoControl Individual spectacle lenses can now be made with personalized defocus, so that light in all parts of the periphery is focused in front of the retina. This ensures better control of myopia.
