On September 6th and 7th, the cycling event L’Etape, organized by the famous Tour de France, took place in Kranj.

At the event, we presented a world novelty – cycling masks with built-in prescription lenses.

We also promoted other sports glasses:
– uvex Sportstyle RX with directly built-in prescription lenses
– SK-X ski goggles with built-in prescription lenses

Cycling glasses with prescription

Advantages of mounting lenses in cycling spectacles:
1. unlimited field of vision
2. easy cleaning
3. unlike clip-in glasses, the lenses are closer to the mask and the eyelashes do not touch the lenses
4. double glazing reduces fogging, as the air between the mask and the prescription lens acts as an insulator
5. individual components can be replaced
6. openings in the upper part of the mask ensure good ventilation

We currently have a solution developed for several uvex SportStyle RX mask models, other models are in development.

The system for installing prescription lenses in cycling masks was developed at Alcom and a license for the use of the SK-X patent was obtained for all EU and North American countries.
