Fusion® technology utilizes the power of complex curves on both surfaces of the progressive lens, ensuring an excellent vision correction. Unique and continually changing front surface of the lens enables widened near zones with improved peripheral vision. A combination with advanced nanoHDVision computation leads to improved vision, flatter lenses, quicker adaptation and greater comfort.

A VARIABLE BASE CURVE LENS

FOR EVERY LENS POWER, THERE IS AN IDEAL BASE CURVE

The Fusion® lenses are made of CamberTM blanks which are the greatest innovation after the introduction of personalized lenses.

Each CamberTM lens blank comes from a section of the “Elephant’s Trunk” curve, creating a unique variable base curve front surface that continually increases in diopter from top to bottom (more curved, near-zone area). This improved front surface profile gives each viewing zone a base curve that is well-suited to its function.

FUSION® INNOVATION POWERED BY CAMBERTM

Innovative front surface of Magic Fusion® lenses offers advantages to everyone:

  1. The laboratory for lens production no longer needs to make compromises between ideal distance and near zones.
  2. Optician gets lenses with smaller curvature, especially with higher diopters and additions.
  3. Most importantly – the users are ensured:
    • advanced optics,
    • better esthetics due to flatter lenses,
    • improved distance, and
    • widened near zones, up to 43%.


INCREASING FRONT CURVE

Lower diopter in the distance zone, higher diopter in the reading zone, with difference of up to three diopters.

This “stacking of the spheres” is a totally new idea, unique to CamberTM lenses.

FreeForm digital surfacing technology gives optical designers a lot of power to create lenses that are customized to each user. But when a progressive lens is made from a single vision lens blank, the uniform front curve creates optical problems that lens designers must digitally correct. Rather than focusing every design decision on achieving a fully personalised lens, some of the design power must go toward “compensation correction”.

Fusion® variable base curve technology reduced the need for compensation correction, allowing more digital design power to be used to optimize the lens design for each individual user.

STUDY ON WEARERS’ EXPERIENCE

In a double-blind study, test wearers compared conventional single vision blanks with Camber blanks, each processed with exactly the same digital progressive design.

1. Test wearers wore each pair of glasses for the duration of one week, but were not aware of which lenses they were wearing for the entirety of the study.

Other than the Normal variant (hard design) for everyday use we produce also progressive lenses Soft with soft design,
Outdoor & Drive for mostly distance viewing, Indoor for mostly near viewing and Sport for wrap frames.

Normal – hard design

It is the perfect balance between far, intermediate and near vision. It’s power distribution offers not only clarity of vision at all distances, but also generous visual fields providing wearer an exceptional comfort to look at any gaze direction.

Lenses are designed for users that need a very good far vision. It offers a panoramic far visual field with freedom for lateral movements of the eyes.

 

 

Indoor

Indoor lenses have been developed to provide wearers an excellent reading area.
Astigmatism around near field has been also reduced to improve feelings of comfort when using near vision. This combination of features produces a final lens with high definition in near with an optimized and clear far vision.
Far view zones still allow normal use of lenses.

Comparison of different models

Magic lenses offer comfortable viewing at all distances. nanoHDVision calculation program takes into account basic optical information (Magic Alpha), as well as phsyiognomy and lifestyle of the user (Magic Fusion, Magic Alpha VIP, Magic Sport). In this way, the lenses meet the needs of even the most demanding users.
